Grab your loved ones and a toboggan, choose one of the runs in the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau – and off you go! On a total of four toboggan runs, which have been awarded the Tyrolean natural toboggan run seal of quality, winter lovers of all ages go on fast-paced adventures.

During the winter season, the lifts and floodlights in the Oberau district of Roggenboden are in operation longer on request. Directly at the top station of the Wiedersbergerhornbahn in Alpbach, the Alpbachtaler Lauser-Sauser is waiting to take all speed fans on a rapid ride. At up to 42 km/h, you then race down the mountain without skis over two jumps, over waves and through Austria's highest loop.

The "Top of Alpbachtal" observation tower is located directly at the Hornbahn 2000 top station and offers a spectacular panoramic view from the highest point in the ski area. From the light-flooded interior, you can enjoy a unique perspective of the snow-covered peaks of the Alpbachtal.

Skiing from 07:00 a.m. on Wiedersberger Horn

For many winter sports enthusiasts, there is nothing better than being on the slopes before everyone else and carving down the mountain in a quiet atmosphere. Every year from the beginning of March until the end of the season, early risers benefit from a special offer on Wiedersberger Horn: Every Saturday, the motto is “Out of bed and onto the slopes!” – from 07:00 in the morning.

First Line Skiing

Childhood dreams become a reality with this activity. As soon as the ride in the passenger seat of the piste basher begins, they won’t be able to stop smiling. The ten-ton vehicles with over 500 horsepower are just so impressive. The adventurous ride on Reither Kogel lasts a full 60 minutes.

For a sporty end to the day in fresh mountain air, winter sports enthusiasts meet in Reith im Alpbachtal. From 31 December 2024 until 04 March 2025, the family downhill run is lit exclusively for ski tourers every Tuesday. The time between 06:30 p.m. and 09:30 p.m. can be actively used to climb the summit and then reward yourself with an enjoyable downhill skiing experience.

In the Wildschönau, night owls can go on an evening ski tour from Wednesday to Friday. Tourers can choose between the designated slopes on the Schatzberg or on the Markbachjoch.

In the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau, hiking boots also come in handy during the colder months of the year. On Reither Kogel, at the top station of Markbachjochbahn and at the middle station of Schatzbergbahn, nature lovers can explore the picturesque landscape on extensive winter hiking trails.

Tour tip for winter hiking with children: Along the trail in the "Juppi Zauberwald", little explorers can have fun at a variety of play stations.

Friends of the skies have their hearts set on flying in the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau: The perfect flight and wind conditions invite you on a very special tour of exploration. During paragliding or a tandem flight, you can discover the idyllic scenery from a bird’s eye view.

Possible starting points for the high-altitude flights are Markbachjoch and Wiedersberger Horn. As soon as the adventure begins and your gaze sweeps over the unique, snow-covered landscape, you’ll experience the height of excitement.
