Alpbachtal - The air is electric, the excitement palpable when the up-and-coming talents of the freeride scene leave their tracks in the snow of the Alpbachtal. The freeride zone on the Wiedersberger Horn near Inneralpbach will be the spectacular venue for the Open Faces Freeride Contest on 3 February 2024. But it's not just a competition, it's a festival where young riders compete to gain important qualification points for the prestigious "Freeride World Tour". They will plunge down the slope, past steep 45-degree drops, leave their tracks in the powder snow and win the hearts of the spectators with breathtaking jumps.

The ascent to over 2100 metres promises an adrenaline-fuelled start. But the participants have to prove more than just courage. They have to impress the jury with a smooth run and creative lines. For newcomers to the contest, the 1-star "Freeride World Qualify" offers the ideal opportunity to gain their first experience in the competitive atmosphere.

Spectators can follow the action from the finish area near the Hornbahn 2000 and get into the spirit with warming drinks and the finest sound.

The competition is part of a series of freeride events taking place in various regions as part of the "Freeride World Qualifier Tour" (FWQ). The contest in Alpbachtal starts at 10 am and promises four hours of excitement, passion and unforgettable moments.
