Alpbach – The morning sun casts a golden glow over the Wiedersberger Horn. On the fresh powder snow, young riders focus as they prepare. Skis are adjusted, lines discussed, and last-minute advice is given by coaches near the starting area. A hush falls until the first competitor drops in, delivering a breathtaking run. The Open Faces Alpbachtal serves as a stepping stone for aspiring freeriders looking to gain competition experience.

On 1st February 2025, young talents will compete in the Freeride World Qualifier (FWQ 1*) and the Freeride Junior Tour (FJT 2*), showcasing technical descents, creative line choices, and spectacular jumps.

With its Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau, the Alpbachtal region provides the perfect setting for this competition. The Wiedersberger Horn impresses with its demanding slopes and varied terrain. The contests will start daily at 10:00 am, near the Hornlift 2000.

Spectators can experience the event live. The public viewing area is accessible via the Pöglbahn in Inneralpbach. Skis or a snowboard are required to reach the venue. On-site, a large LED screen ensures the best views of the runs, accompanied by DJ beats and a vibrant winter atmosphere.

The Open Faces Alpbachtal is an important milestone for young freeriders and an opportunity for the audience to be part of a dynamic spectacle in the heart of the snow-covered Tyrolean mountains. Three days of action, passion, and excitement – an experience that will captivate both riders and spectators alike.
